Selangor govt must cease blaming other states – DoE tests confirm rivers in Negeri Sembilan & Pahang not behind Sg Semenyih’s contamination

With the help of the NEgeri Sembilan Department of Environment and the Pahang Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Adnan Yaakob, it has been confirmed that the Sungai Buah has nothing to do with the contamination of Sungai Semenyih in Selangor. Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali is a cunning political leader.

Recently, Azmin tried to shift blame and evade responsibility by accusing Negri Sembilan and Pahang being responsible for the Semenyih river pollution. However, the main cause and real culprits are made known now

Azmin is still behaving like an Opposition leader, relying on slander to gain cheap publicity. He should understand that his words as a Menteri Besar carries weight and responsibility.

He might be the Menteri Besar, but he is also irresponsible. The water crisis was not properly investigated by the Pakatan Selangor state government which tried to shirk its responsibility. He should apologise to all Selangor residents.

The people of Selangor entrusted PKR to manage the state as they have faith in the party’s capability and integrity. But the last two weeks saw a spate of water cuts and water shortage which not only prove that the Pakatan Selangor state government led by MB Azmin Ali is not only incompetent, but lacks ability too. He does not own up to responsibility but freely blames the federal government.

Azmin should bring Selangor to apply for entry into the Malaysian Book of Records as Selangor is the only state in Malaysia in the past month to not only experience so many water cuts but also for the longest duration.

Pakatan’s pact of PKR, DAP and PAS has not only failed to resolve the rakyat’s woes, but the problem is aggravating, where even water treatment plants have been shut down three times in a week. Such travesty to the people cannot be forgiven.

The Selangor Pakatan state government is now in disarray because PKR is only focused on power struggles within its party, while PAS and DAP are busy with superficially acting ie having pot shots at each other but are in secret collusion with each other. With such a lineup, how may Pakatan manage the Selangor state government.

MB Azmin had accused Pahang state and factories in Nilai as the causes for Sungai Semenyih to be affected. However, Negeri Sembilan’s Department of Environment and the NEgeri Sembilan have clarified that after investigation were conducted by the authorities, all allegations by the Pakatan Selangor state government have been proven incorrect.

Azmin should not only apologise for not speaking facts or deceiving the people, but he should also apologise of his sheer ignorance of his state’s water contamination.
