Solid evidence that Guan Eng said CRCC is part of SPV to construct Penang undersea tunnel

Penang Chief Minister YAB Lim Guan Eng continues to insist that he never said that China Railway Construction Corporation Ltd (CRCC) was never a shareholder of the special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up to construct the Penang undersea tunnel project. Today, MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong once again revealed solid evidence that Guan Eng who is also the DAP Secretary General was lying through his teeth.

According to Buletin Mutiara, a Penang state government-owned publication for its edition of 16 to 31 March 2013, Guan Eng, in an open letter to all Penangites had written that:

“The state government had awarded the tender to Consortium Zenith BUCG, a special purpose vehicle company SET UP BY A JOINT VENTURE between local company Construction Zenith, China Railway Construction Corporation Ltd (CRCC) along with Beijing Urban Construction Group, Sri Tinggi Sdn Bhd and Juteras Sdn Bhd.

These are words written by none other than Chief Minister Lim guan Eng himself and they prove that he said that CCRC is part of the SPV.

These words were not spoken by Dr Wee Ka Siong, not reported by the so-called BN media, but by Lim Guan Eng’s very own words. He is and should be responsible for what he wrote.

Dr Wee Ka Siong has urged CM Guan Eng to not heap blame on others, nor evade questions which MCA has raised. It is not MCA that is sabotaging the Penang undersea tunnel project, but it is the Chief Minister’s responsibility if it fails to be constructed.

Please stop telling fibs, Mr Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
