Making a splash with diving gold: Thank you Pandelela for making Malaysians proud

Malaysians nationwide are a passionate bunch for sports, leading to the rise of many athletes with various international achievements notably in badminton, diving, squash and others. Just yesterday, Malaysia’s Olympic two-time medalist diver Pandelela Rinong scooped Malaysia's first-ever FINA Diving World Cup gold medal at the women’s 10m platform final in Tokyo.

We are genuinely proud of Pandelela for once again elevating our nation’s name to international glory at the sports scene. Her tenacity and passion shine brightly, motivating youngsters, especially females to show that anyone can achieve great success if they maintain discipline with the training regiment and are willing to put in their best efforts.

Alongside fellow national diver-athlete Cheong Jun Hoong who was Malaysia's first diving World Champion when she took home the gold medal in the 10m platform event in the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, we wish both female divers great success as they take on the Tokyo Olympics.

We hope that their diligence and perseverance will pay off and the duo will create history by capturing the first Olympic gold medal which has long eluded Malaysia.

Malaysia Boleh!
