Press statement by MCA Penang State Liaison Committee Chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng
No media freedoms if nobody can question RM6.3bil Penang undersea tunnel scandal
Lim Guan Eng should be slammed for 'privatising politics’ using dictatorial and hegemonic political tools and tricks in an attempt to divide Malaysian society.
When replying a reporter from a Chinese language daily whilst lighting lanterns along Jalan Uda, Lim Guan Eng had described those critisising the RM6.3billion undersea tunnel project as 'inhumane', .He has become incoherent - dodging difficult questions from journalists by diverting attention away from the mega project, and leaving them dumbfounded.
Guan Eng’s habitual and premediated attempt to divide and label Malaysian society into two categories as either supporters or opponents against DAP and the Penang state government render him labeling the media with various forms of ridiculous and foul language. In cyberspace, DAP’s cybertroopers pull no stops in cyber bullying.
Those who oppose Guan Eng will first be labelled as “anti-DAP activist” and then falsely accused of being anti-Penang or are not Penangites. Then they will be labeled pro BN and pro-MCA, or accused of "not being a human being" or "zombie." Conversely, those who support the undersea tunnel project and DAP will be indulged and admitted as cybertroopers and help the Rocket overrule other netizens.
Reporters who have earned the displeasure of Guan Eng after interviewing him have each been given labels and thence blacklisted from interviewing him at the next press conference. Such tyranny is shameful. No matter how much the Chief Ministry tries to prevent the masses from knowing the truth about the RM6.3 billion undersea tunnel scandal, he has ultimately failed.
Todate, the Bagan MP does not dare provide a firm reply to Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong’s questions. Now that the status of China Railway Construction Group Ltd (CRCC) has switched from being “shareholder” as initially reported, to “main contractor”, Guan Eng’s lies continue to be exposed one after another, and people now uncover more and more in this colossal scandal.
