MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong celebrated Hari Raya with Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan at the latter’s open house event in Rantau, Negeri Sembilan, Saturday (June 15).
“Attending the Hari Raya open house event of Umno acting president Tok Mat in Rantau.
“Tens of thousands of people including leaders from Umno, MCA and MIC also attended the event,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
Dr Wee, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Jessica Lim Hai Ean, also spent time mingling with Malaysians from all walks of life.
Also present at the open house were former Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak and MCA vice-president Datuk Lim Ban Hong.
The post, which has so far garnered more than 1,300 likes, also earned praises from many users.
Many lauded Dr Wee for upholding the tradition of attending open house events during festive seasons, adding that it portrayed unity among all races in Malaysia.
