The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of MCA Divisions and Branches will commence in September and October. They will be conducted in adherence to the standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines stipulated by the Registrar of Societies (ROS).

As announced by the National Security Council, all organisations registered with the ROS, including political parties, registered societies, companies, co-operatives, and parent-teacher associations, can now hold their AGMs starting July 1st with a maximum attendance of 250 persons.

As such, the MCA Central Committee reached a decision during its meeting on June 19th that all party Branches and Divisions are to hold their respective AGMs in September and October. In accordance with the Party Constitution, members must be notified 14 days in advance of the general meetings.

Kindly be reminded that all Branch and Division AGMs must be conducted in compliance with the preventive SOPs as stipulated by ROS like registering names, using the MySejahtera mobile app, screening body temperature and social distancing.

The MCA national leadership has also issued the SOP in detail for reference by the Branch and Division levels.
