Ramasamy exposes the fact that UEC is not recognised in Penang, Lim Guan Eng is enraged due to shame

The former Chief Minister of Penang Lim Guan Eng appears to have been overcome by incumbent Deputy Chief Minister II Ramasamy. However, his inexplicable anger was channeled towards MCA. Guan Eng should aim at the target. He should be responsible for whoever he faces. Do not even attempt to use MCA to divert attention.

When Guan Eng was Penang Chief Minister in 2015, he continued to exploit the non-recognition of the United Examination Certificate (UEC) to create an angelic halo for himself. Hiring  UEC holder Thing Siew Shuen  as General Manager for the Penang Green Council, her recruitment was touted as evidence that Penang recognised the UEC. However a few days ago, in the Penang state Legislative Assembly, DCM II Ramasamy exposed Guan Eng’s lies when he announced that the Penang state government has never hired a single UEC student to be a civil servant.

Guan Eng does not deny, refute nor criticise Ramasamy’s remarks. On the contrary, he directed fault to MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Dr Ir Wee Ka Siong. Observing the Bagan MP’s style, his behaviour is most inexplicable – It displays his anger against his former colleague.

Guan Eng had used Thing Siew Shuen as a huge publicity this year. Today, when the lie has been exposed, the Finance Minister has to face the same humiliation. If he thinks he had not misled, that the Penang state government really recruited Thing Siew Shuen for the Penang Green Council based on her UEC qualifications, then Guan Eng must provide Ramasamy the relevant proof, or demand that Ramasamy withdraw his remarks and apologise.

On the other hand, if Guan Eng cannot prove that Ramsamy has erred, that is to say that Guan Eng should be responsible for his own remarks and should thus aplogise to the people. This is the attitude which should be held by a responsible leader.
