JELEBU: MCA is aiming to wrest back the Chennah state seat by making known its preferred candidate ahead of the polls.

Jelebu MCA division chief Roger Seet Tee Gee is the party’s choice, said Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

“Seet is a better candidate to help the people. He has been providing services and assisting residents here,” said the MCA president.

Speaking to reporters after a tea session with senior MCA members in Titi, Liow said Seet did much more than the assemblyman from the Opposition.

“Seet has been assisting residents although he is without any official position,” Liow said, adding that Seet has assisted orchard owners to find solutions on land issues.

He added that Seet was also able to unite members within the party.

Liow called upon residents here to fully support MCA so there would be more development in the town.

“Titi has the potential to be developed into an agro-tourism town as there are many durian orchards here. Durians are already attracting many tourists.

“With more economic activities, youths will not have to leave their hometown to earn a living,” he said.

Later, Liow visited the Titi operations room to gauge the party’s preparations for GE14.

He also paid a visit to Shang Di Gong temple and allocated RM30,000 for its development.
