Press statement by MCA Youth Secretary General Dato’ Leong Kim Soon

Don’t just report one example! Disclose all complaints of funds abused by DAP reps

We note that DAP has made a loud announcement to all news agencies in the traditional print and electronic media as well as on online news portals that it has sacked Teluk Datok assemblyman Loh Chee Heng for allegedly misusing state funds after the Rocket reportedly investigated a written complaint and found there was basis in the complaint.

But our Youth wing questions – Is DAP is trying to take credit of sacking one of their "defiant" ADUNs whom they had chosen to sack?

In the name of transparency, MCA Youth wishes to inquire: How many complaints (be it written, verbal or through news reports) has DAP received their 100 plus Yang Berhormats at both the federal  and state level? Why is DAP keeping hush hush on the complaints and only chose one sacrificial lamb?

What about the complaint lodged with MACC against Teresa Kok by her former aides for allegedly misusing party funds in the run-up to the 13th general elections?

Likewise, why has the DAP disciplinary committee not been seen to take action against DAP Kajang councillor Lee Kee Hiong, who after the 2008 political tsunami had managed all of DAP Exco Ean Yong Hian Wah’s allocations for his constituency. During the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Teoh Beng Hock’s death, Kee Hiong finally admitted that the director WSK Services, Lee Wye Wing was her uncle despite earlier denying their relationship. Most of all the projects below RM20,000 had been awarded to Lee Wye Wing’s wife under WSK Services.

DAP should also own up on how many similar complaints have been lodged against other DAP office bearers because todate, apart from Loh Chee Heng’s case, the public has yet to see any form of action or public accountability from DAP.
