News release by GoCare and the Crisis Relief Squad of MCA

GoCare Dropshipping Campaign to help underprivileged groups; Gathering of 20 businesses to assist 1,000 unemployed people

To assist disadvantaged groups, the Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) collaborated with GoCare's "#BeMYHero Community Caring Project." GoCare recently launched a Dropshipping project. In the first stage, merchants dealing with face masks, mooncakes, disinfectants, and others will sell these products as part of charity to assist single-parent families and the unemployed in their struggles for an income. At the moment, the first stage will bring together 20 businesses to assist 1,000 underprivileged people to tide through this pandemic.

According to Wanita MCA National Chairperson Datuk Heng Seai Kie, the charity sale has enabled poor families, particularly single-parent families and the unemployed, to become distributors, whereby they would sell products for charity while earning a commission.

The distributors will be known as "GoCare Little Angels." They do not need to ship or store goods; Instead, they must find customers through their various contacts, such as online sales, social media, WhatsApps, and other. Upon receipt of the sales order, the suppliers will ship the goods. The commission will be calculated based on each merchandise item sold, with the hopes of supporting the little angels' livelihood.

GoCare Consultant and CRSM National Chairperson, Dato’ Natalie Lim Chong Ly informed that GoCare created the #BeMYHero Community Caring Project in the spirit of teaching a person to fish and feed that person for a lifetime. “It brings together partners and enthusiasts from various fields to provide various forms of assistance to those in need, such as donations of essential supplies, job opportunities, online courses, etc. GoCare tailors the assistance package to the individual in order to decisively alleviate or solve their life problems.

In addition, the original goal of the GoCare #BeMYHero Hunt Zone which was launched a while ago, was to build a platform that would enable firms searching for employees to find qualified candidates while also assisting those in need of job opportunities, resulting in a win-win situation.

However, as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to worsen, all industries are being put to test. As a result, the Hunt Zone has joined together to develop four key projects: Biz Hub, Job Hub, Lokal Sense, and Edu Hub, all of which aim to help people and businesses in need in various ways.

Hunt Zone's series of events are expected to help businesses and the general public in all facets of the epidemic. As a result, more needy businesses are encouraged to engage in the activities. At the same time, more people and companies are being urged to become involved for the greater benefit and to contribute towards society.
