KUALA LUMPUR: The Blossom Arts Festival Malaysia (BAFM) 2017 will be back with a bang this August and is expected to see twice as many visitors compared to last year.

Malaysian Chinese Culture and Arts Consultative Council chairman Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun said spectacular performances lined up for the whole month of August are expected to draw in a crowd of 40,000.

“We wish to reach out to as many people as possible to showcase our rich Malaysian culture and arts heritage which promote harmonious living in our multi-ethnic society,” she told reporters at Wisma MCA yesterday.

Among the host of shows lined up for BAFM 2017 will be five key performances by international artistes from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand.

Chew added that this is an event not to be missed.

“These groups and artistes performing are renowned performers in their own countries, and many are international award winners,” she said.

Tickets for the shows are priced between RM30 and RM50.

Visitors can also choose to pay RM80 or RM120 for seasonal passes which allow entry to three shows and five shows respectively.
