Press statement by Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Chuan on not contesting for GE14
I have been informed that the party did not nominate me as the candidate for the parliamentary seat of Tanjong Malim in the coming 14th General Election. As such, I accept this decision made by the party and will not be running as a candidate in the 14th General Election. That being said, I will still be making rounds throughout the country in order to assist MCA’s and other Barisan component parties’ candidates for the respective state and parliamentary seats, in my capacity as the party’s Secretary-General of MCA. I would also like to appeal to all of my supporters to continue supporting the candidates from MCA and Barisan Nasional component parties , in order to ensure their victory.
