Start Cabinet reshuffle by abolishing Entrepreneur Development Ministry whose Minister has become a joke

We call upon the Prime Minister to abolish the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development when he reshuffles his Cabinet to avoid the continuous wastage of public coffers. The rakyat should not be compelled to pay high salaries to a Minister who has made Malaysia into an international laughing stock.

Since the beginning of last year, Minister of Entrepreneur Development Dato’ Seri Mohd Redzuan has been absorbed with his flying car project from start to end. Hardly any attention is paid towards planning and developing future prospects of entrepreneurship by locals. Does the government really need to establish a special department to specialise in the development of “flying cars” ala drones?

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad claims that there may be a Cabinet reshuffle soon, before the APEC meeting. Since wrestling federal office for the past year and the half, other than a lack of policies to revitalise the national economy, the performance of various Ministers have failed to meet the expectations of the rakyat.

In particular, the performance of the Entrepreneur Development Ministry is way below par. It does not have any policies that will assist in the development of the country, and it centres on R&D on the flying car project, till its Minister becomes the butt of people’s jokes.

Since the announcement of the flying car, jokes of this vehicle have flown non-stop. In addition to deceiving Malaysians into believing that the flying car was to be Malaysian-made, and even invites were sent out to see the test flight, but ultimately, the test flight became a closed-door event, and now, it is impossible to take off as it has not even obtain approval from the Civil Aviation Authorities of Malaysia.

Cabinet Ministers receive high salaries every month but this one in particular does not seem to be working on anything meaningful, other than the flying car project which has no pragmatic use, nor has received the green light from Cabinet, or approval from CAAM, when it is actually, just a drone.
