MCA Selangor: Cooperation by BN coalition partners will ensure brilliant GE14 results

It should be stressed that only through mutual cooperation among BN component parties may our coalition achieve a brilliant outing at the 14th general elections.

Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had urged MCA, MIC and Gerakan from the BN coalition to prove that we could win support from non-Malay majority constituencies.

MCA is very clear that BN is a coalition which consists of political parties representing the various ethnicities in Malaysia. Thus BN partners do not and cannot be expected to rely on a single ethnic group to score victory, but must always strive to obtain the support of all Malaysians.  This is our unanimous stand.

MCA always stresses on racial diversity in our political mindset. MCA also organises heaps of events and activities, targetted not only for the Malaysian Chinese, but all Malaysians. Likewise, our party’s projects are not aimed at benefitting only the Chinese community but also all ethnic groups in Malaysia.

In order to assist the rakyat resolve difficulties facing them, MCA has launched a series of programmes which strengthen the BN coalition’s multiracial model. They include: the 1MCA Medical Foundation, 1MCA Micro Credit Scheme for Youth, 1MCA Community Alliance Foundation, KOJADI RM50million SME Loan, Chang Ming Tien Foundation, 1MCA Education Loan Scheme. For MCA members, the party has the 1MCA Group Insurance Scheme, Happy Mama Programme, Tribute to Party Veterans which indicates MCA’s recognitions for the contributions of our party members.

I urge BN to uphold the spirit of consensus, long practised by our coalition. Let us cooperate with full dedication to fulfil people-oriented programmes. We should avoid external differences in public so as to restore people’s confidence in BN, and ultimately, secure better election triumphs come GE14.
