MCA extends condolences to the Sri Lankan community on the terrorist attacks on Easter Sunday

MCA is outraged by the terrorist attacks on three churches and three hotels in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday,  21st April 2019, a sacred day for Christians around the world. MCA expresses shock and concern, we convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the people and the Government of Sri Lanka, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. MCA severely condemns the terrorist attacks.


At Easter Mass morning, many people came to participate in the praying, unfortunately, there were at least six simultaneously bomb ignited in the city and suburb of Colombo. It is known that three churches and three international hotels were affected.  Terrorism is one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, and any form of terrorism is unacceptable.


MCA reiterates our firm supports to Sri Lanka’s political parties and people, to stand together to safeguard their national security and stability, and calls on the Government of Sri Lankan to immediately investigate thoroughly the truth of the deadly blast. The perpetrators and organisers must be swiftly brought to justice.
