Police must investigate ‘hell money’ death threat

MCA Penang urgently calls on the police to probe the perpetrator(s) who had sent Gerakan Secretary General Liang Teck Meng a death trap via inserting ‘hell money’ and notes calling him a traitor, including newspaper clipping of him urging Penang Chief Minister to come clean about his Jalan Pinhorn bungalow scandal.

The culprit appears to be one who is an ardent supporter of the “tokong” Lim Guan Eng and is misled by blind loyalty. As faithful as the person is to the “Tokong”, it is against the law to harass anyone by placing the recipient’s life at stake.

DAP must come forward condemn the death threat against the “Tokong’s” party counterpart, and also urge the police to investigate and apprehend offender.

Although BN and DAP are political opponents, any disagreement or doubt raising must be done in a civilised manner be it at the State Legislative Assembly, in Parliament, through media conferences and not warnings of possible physical harm, injury or loss of life.

DAP should teach its members and supporters that everyone, including Barisan Nasional members have the right to urge the Rocket to act according its Competency, Accountability and Transparency (CAT) slogan and be transparent on the bungalow transaction between Ms Phang Li Koon and Guan Eng at way below market prices.

Trying to silence DAP’s critics to cower into fear totally contradicts DAP’s usual practice of questioning and demanding answers from BN when BN ruled Penang or at the federal level.  Now that the magnifying glass is on DAP, Guan Eng can no longer afford to hide and must come clean
