Tourists complain on 9 issues of substandard but Penang govt turns deaf

Tourists to the Pearl of the Orient are disappointed at access to WiFi in Penang, public toilet hygiene, food hygiene, cleanliness of beaches and seawater. These issues have been ignored for three consecutive years. Everyone can see how bad the efficiency of the Penang government is! 

It has been already three years. Why has the Penang state government not changed a bit? Does the Penang state government intend to shut the door in tourists' faces?

According to the Penang Tourist Survey 2016, there are up to 9 items considered substandard which tourists have complained about! Moreover, WiFi access, public toilet hygiene, food hygiene, cleanliness of beaches and seawater were classified as unsatisfactory items for three years in a row!

Has the Penang State EXCO for Tourism Development Danny Law Heng Kiang been sleeping for three consecutive years?

The Penang Free WiFi can be said to be the Penang state administration's biggest scam. After years of implementation, so far both locals and foreign tourists still feel the "turtle crawling speed" of the Penang Free WiFi. Moreover, at some places where you can see Penang Free WiFi signal, you actually cannot connect to it, or, the network will automatically be disconnected in less than 5 minutes.

Penang Free WiFi has completely disappointed tourists and also became a laughing stock.

I would like to query why Danny Law Heng Kiang is not cooperating with the local government to improve the public toilets, hawker centers’ hygiene or dealing with the cleanliness of beaches and seawater. After all, these are all responsibility of the state government. Moreover, the state government used to boast of their "Cleaner and Greener Penang" slogan. However, in addition to uncontrolled hillside development, they also turn a blind eye to rivers and seawater pollution. They say one thing but do another.

I call on the Penang state government to make improvements to the complaints as soon as possible for tourists. Don't drive away tourists and destroy Penang’s tourism.
