Development & growth boosted - MCA Sabah reiterates support for Hajiji-led Sabah state govt

MCA Sabah reiterates our party’s support for the current Sabah state government helmed by Chief Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Hajiji Noor. This stand was reached during a meeting among MCA Sabah Division Chairmen on 11 Jan 2023 and affirmed by the MCA Central Committee in a meeting on 11 Feb 2023.

Led by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), the Sabah state government has pledged its support for the national Unity Government. MCA Sabah likewise upholds an identical position with the party’s national leadership, pledging full backing for the Unity Government.

Undertaking our role earnestly, MCA Sabah serves as a bridge between the state government and the rakyat. We will assist the state government to execute policies and voice out for people to ensure that the principles of diversity, moderation and justice to safeguard the rights of all Sabahans are upheld, whilst striving to promote the development of the state economy, to propel Sabah ahead.

Never once has MCA Sabah been involved in any attempt to oust the state government led by Chief Minister Dato’ Seri Hajiji.

In the spirit of the Malaysia Agreement, the party’s Central Committee has empowered MCA Sabah with wider autonomy. Leveraging on this autonomy, MCA Sabah will contribute proposals towards Sabah’s policy making to safeguard the rights and interests of all Sabahans.

MCA Sabah calls upon all Sabahans to cast aside all differences and unite. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dato’ Seri Hajiji, Sabah’s development and growth has been given a boost, and the state is now geared towards prosperity and progress.
