Parts of Jalan Manis in Taman Segar, Cheras  was transformed into a river within 10mins after a heavy downpour.

Cheras MCA vice chairman Steve Teoh who held a press conference just four days ago to alert the authorities of an earlier flooding incident at the same spot said today's flooding was a sign of more to come.

Teoh said he was informed by an appointed contractor that the frequent flooding was not a result of clogged drains but the design of the road instead.

"This part of Jalan Manis is like a bowl," he said.

Affected residents are hoping that the Kuala Lumpur City Hall will come up with a solution to it.

"If the problem continues, it may create more potholes and cracked sidewalks which are both dangerous to pedestrians and motorists," he said.
