Foreword from the President
     The MCA 9-Point Party Platform is a document drafted by the MCA Central Committee that lays out the future directions and plans of the Party. It is the result of a consensus arrived at following collective and in-depth consultations, and it takes into account the valuable opinions and suggestions provided by various representatives and members of the community. I hope that the document can lead all members of the Party and and the Chinese community at large to create a better future.
     A leader should not only deal with the issues at hand in a steadfast manner, but must also have a comprehensive view of the big picture and a vision for the future. It is with this in mind that this long-term development plan for MCA has been prepared, to bring to the community a future filled with hope! 
     The 9-Point Party Platform has been formulated to meet the needs of this new era of globalisation, and is based on the foundation of teh aims and objectives of the Party Constitution. The 9-Point Party Platform involves more tha just a superficial crafting of words; what is critical is how these ideas can be effectively transformed into action. Therefore, strictly speaking, the formulation of this long-term agenda also represents a promise made by MCA to all Party members and members of the community. In this regard, we shoulder this responsibility willingly and will do our utmost to planb and execute the necessary relevant actions.
     Working for the cause of the community is a major and long-term undertaking. To achieve success, the effort of the MCA leadership alone is insufficient. Therefore, I hope that this 9-Point Party Platform will be given positive recognition and support by the Chinese community at large. Let us all work together to create a new chapter for the prospects of our community, and create new hope for the future.
