Isn’t Kit Siang the pot calling the kettle black?

Press statement issued by Simon Lim, MCA Special Task Force Bureau chief highlighting the cowardice in YB Lim Kit Siang & YAB Lim Guan Eng

Isn’t Kit Siang the pot calling the kettle black?

The Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timur YB Lim Kit Siang had earlier unceremoniously accused and called YB Dato’ Seri Ong Tee Keat, Minister of Transport a coward for not being present at Parliament to answer questions on PKFZ. He also inaccurately accused Tee Keat of using the reason of attending official functions in London and Paris to "run away" from the PKFZ issues.

These are unfair, unsubstantiated and ridiculous accusations and/speculations with mala fide intent to smear the character of or to defame Tee Keat. Kit Siang has forgotten that it was Tee Keat who has ordered an independent investigation and the full release of the report. By doing so Tee Keat walks the talk on transparency, integrity and  accountability.

DAP cowardice

Ironically, his protege and favourite son YAB Lim Guan Eng, who as Chief Minister of Penang does not have the courage to receive the memorandum from the residents of Kampung Lorong Buah Pala as reported in New Straits Times on 1 July 2009.

Like Kit Siang, I would like to pose three questions to him:-

My first question, why is your son, Guan Eng, not accepting the memorandum personally since he is in town?

Second question - why is Guan Eng running away?

Third question - when is his son going order the stoppage of development works at Kampung Lorong Buah Pala pending investigation since the alienation of land concerned is under investigation? Since, Kit Siang has called Tee Keat a coward for not attending Parliament, when he is going to openly reprimand his own son and call him coward? I doubt he would call his son a coward for he would be father of cowardice.

He should retire and stay at home to advise and teach his son the principle of walking the talk. DAP should walk the talk and keep good to their promises made during general election in luring the voters' vote. We need to see the "over my dead body" claim being fulfilled. Guan Eng should deliver to the residents his resignation letter if he cannot deliver his promise. Guan Eng should be man enough to take up the responsibility instead of washing his hands off the problems.
