Introduction
In a fast changing world, where knowledge reigns supreme, an uninterrupted pursuit of knowledge is the surest way for an individual to shape his or her own destiny and a nation to stay strong and competitive.
Thus more and more people, who are ambitious to improve their lot, have taken to seeking knowledge as a way of life. The MCA, being a political party with vision and a sense of mission, has decided to promote lifelong learning as part of its strategy and responsibility to move Malaysia and its people forward. From this day, the MCA will take the lead in encouraging Malaysians to make continuous efforts in seeking knowledge as a way of life in order to make Malaysia a nation of knowledge.
Definition
Lifelong Learning is a comprehensive, self-motivated, persistent and life-long process of learning in order for one to enhance his or her knowledge, ability, experience and value.
Objective
To encourage Malaysians to take Lifelong Learning as their way of life in order to help create a progressive Rakyat Malaysia.
How to participate in the Lifelong Learning activities?
Our Lifelong Learning activities emphasize on the spontaneous and persistent way of seeking knowledge through formal, informal and non-formal learning. The areas of learning includes formal school education, and informal and non-formal social education ranging from politic, economy, culture and education, humanities studies, ethics, moral principles, physical education, social science, arts and recreation. So, all you need to do is, based on your personal liking or your needs, to join anyone of the various courses, activities or learning programmes sponsored by organizations in society or in your neighbourhood, as a way to start your Lifelong Learning process. You may participate in the Lifelong Learning activities as an observer to begin with. You may also follow the arrangements made for you by the Lifelong Learning National Committee and take part in any one of the various courses and forums notified in various websites, newspapers and radio stations organised by NGOs and MCA in conjunction with the Lifelong Learning National Campaign. You are welcome to become a partner in organizing Lifelong Learning activities.
