Title_Angel Network Session

MIRC will be organizing a Technopreneurs-Venture Capitalists / Angel Network Matching Session during its Annual Funding and Financing Forum. The main objective of this activity is to provide opportunities for investors to evaluate current investments that are available in the market today as well as for the technopreneurs to present their investment cases to the right investors. This will serve as a platform to match technopreneurs with venture capitalists and angel investors in their efforts to commercialize their viable business ideas.

In this Matching Session, a few venture capitalists and angel investors are invited to sit in the pitching session and evaluate the viability of the business proposal through the presentation of the applicants.
 

Following are the pitching session details:
Date: 10th April 2008
Time: 1pm � 2pm
Venue: Level 12, Wisma MCA
(Next to Citibank and Nikko Hotel)

All technopreneurs are required to submit their business proposals to MIRC Secretariat by 8th April 2008 . We will be assessing these business proposals and select 4 � 8 applicants to come for the pitching session. These applicants will be given 5 minutes for presentation and 2 - 3 minutes for Q&A session.

Each applicant will be given a presentation slides template � Company Profile (1 slide), Product Information (1 slide), Marketing Strategies (1 slide), Financial Summary - Forecast (1 slide), and Intention of raising funds and the targeted amount (2 slides).

Title_e-SME Program

In conjunction with World Congress of Information Technology (WCIT), MIRC will be organizing the MIRC e-SMEs Week 2008 . MIRC is inspired to develop more SME Programs after the P5 Pilot Project completed in Penang last year. This year, MIRC will be organizing its e-SMEs Week 2008 , which is a series of activities that filled withe-contents � MIRC e-Enablement Workshops , IT Training Program (Powered by XTrain) , and MIRC e-SMEs Program 2008 .

The main objective of this event is to provide a platform to e-enable the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Small Office Home Office (SOHO). This event is targeted at 50 participants from all over Malaysia especially SMEs and SOHO. This event will kick off from 13th � 15th May 2008 at Wisma MCA, however participants and public will be able to enjoy products promotion at discounted rate from 12th May 2008 � 17th May 2008. MOBIG (Mobile Industry Group)   a special interest group initiated by MCA ICT Resource Centre (MIRC) and APAC Mobile Learning & Edutainment Advisory Panel (APACMLEAP). The kick off meeting took place at Starbucks, Bangsar Village ll, KL on 2 April 2008.

The team would like to generate awareness of MOBIG among key drivers of IT community, Industry Influencers & VCs said Wemel Cumavoo at the meeting. Andrew Wong reiterated that MOBIG is valuable as it is set up to assist key players in the mobile eco system including the End Customer (user). Read More
