It is not atypical for DAP’s loudmouth Ronnie Liu to gibber rubbish against MCA on any matter that he can size up without offering any practical solution at hand. If anything, his wanton criticisms against MCA is merely a ploy to stir up emotions of the Chinese is to be expected.

2007 is the Lunar Year of the Boar. However, pertaining to the relocation of pig farms in Malacca, Ronnie Liu has made a pig of the day on the efforts by MCA to reach an amicable solution in his latest accusations against the BN government. This time Ronnie’s rhetoric is a tad way too offbeat. In his blog, Ronnie claims that it is the policy of the incumbent BN administration to ban pig farming.  His criticisms are nothing new and amount to nothing more than an empty vessel venting knocks and thuds while sidelining the main serious issue at hand, that is, environment pollution and hygiene concerns of the residents of Paya Mengkuang, Ayer Molek and Bukit Beruang.

Ronnie, I’d like to ask you, “how would you sleep with an open pig farm next to your house, and listen to cries of boars being slaughtered and all the subsequent effluents emanating into your air space and wastes from swine flowing down into your drain and then clogging it up?"

I am quite certain you would object not because you do not have enough love for the pigs nor the pig farmers. It is very likely that you too would oppose having pig farms at your doorstep owing to environmental and health issues. Therefore Ronnie, do state some of these facts rather than just holler around and rabble rousing the sentiments of voters.

A solution to the pig farmers would be for them to adopt modern waste management as practised in developed countries, whereby animal wastes are converted to generate electricity, and the stench is kept at bay.

Ronnie should not accuse BN for sleeping when he sleeps soundly like a pig at home. Do have some sympathy for the local residents that have to put up with the disgusting odour reeking 24-hours a day.
