1Malaysia Community Alliance van stops by Bidor town
MARKET-GOERS in Bidor took the opportunity to undergo health screening while doing their Sunday marketing when the 1Malaysia Community Alliance van stopped by their area.
Apart from getting their blood pressure and glucose levels checked, people from all walks of life also sought the services of various government departments who had set up counters outside the market during the MCA Health Carnival.
The carnival was held in conjunction with the Sungkai MCA roadshow.

Ready for it: Bidor market-goers queuing up to check their blood sugar levels during the MCA Health Carnival held next to the Bidor market.
Many were pleased to meet Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung as the MCA vice-president went about the market.
He was accompanied by state executive councillor Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, who is also MCA Youth deputy chairman, and Tanjung Malim MCA division chief Datuk Loke Yuen Yow.
Chor also presented a wheelchair to stroke survivor Leong Wong Hoh @ Leong Sou Chen from the State Welfare Department.
Leong’s son, Soong Tet Kheong, 43, said the wheelchair would enable his mother to move about freely around the house.

Moment of truth: Chor (seated, left) checking his blood pressure, while Dr Mah (standing, third from left) and other leaders look on.
“Without it, we had to carry her from one room to another,” he said.
Housewife Chong Suet Lai, from the Tongkat Harbour New Village, was happy to receive RM1,000 in welfare aid from Chor.
“I will use it to repair my leaking zinc roof and wooden walls, which have all broken down,” she said.
Chor also handed out a similar amount to odd job worker Lee Chow @ Lee Choy to enable the latter to repair his dilapidated house.
