Wanita MCA and One World Hanxing College of Journalism & Communication will jointly organize the 2012 SUPER DJ Talent Search Competition to give Malaysian youngsters a platform to realize their dreams of becoming top DJs.
In this time and era, the entertainment industry in Malaysia, together with the boom in electronic media continues to steal thelimelight and demand a steady supply of talents. As hosting jobs in television and radio stations are still dreams chased after by the new generation, the SUPERDJ Competition initiated by One World Hanxing College of Journalism & Communication since 2010 identifies with this trend.
Established in 1988, One World Hanxing College of Journalism & Communication is fundamental in the Chinese mass communication education of the country and known for its perseverance in nurturing new media forces. Always taking to action the support of youth-driving activities, Wanita MCA joins the College in organizing this year’s competition to once again support young Malaysian with its most solid action in making dreams come true.
The competition has been attracting youngsters since 2010. This year, the competition has been upgraded in terms of module, level of competition and judges’ lineup. The organizers have invited top local artists and hosts such as Goh Wee Ping, Chiong Pei Pei, Adrian Tan, Hoong Jiahui and so on to strictly judge the competitors.
The competition is co-organized by Sungei Wang Plaza, with One FM and Yeah! Chinese Entertainment Magazine as media partners. The first preliminary competition will begin at 2pm on 8th April at T-Hop Zone on the 6th Floor of Sungei Wang Plaza. The second preliminary and semi-final will be held at the same venues on 15th and 22nd April respectively. The finals will be held at the front stage of Sungei Wang Plaza on 29th April.
This highly-anticipated talent search event is aimed at uncovering new hosting talents and welcomes the participation of competitors ranging from 15 to 30 years old.
