New Membership Application

New Membership Application Procedures
  1. Application of new membership can be made via Branch, Division, State or directly to HQ.
  2. The Branch, Division, State or the HQ staff shall upon receiving the application, photostated I/Cs, photo and membership fees from the applicants, acknowledge by returning the reply slip attached at the bottom of the form to them.
  3. Enquiries could be made directly to the HQ if there is no news received after 3 months of applications.
  4. All applications must be made in the newly prescribed forms and all columns therein must duly be completed. Witnesses to the application shall be held fully responsible for whatever particulars given by him. He is also answerable to HQ for whatever queries that may arise.
(All the above stated new procedures were duly adopted by the MCA Central Committee Meeting held on 31st October, 2005)

Membership Transfer

Membership Transfer Procedures
  1. Application for membership transfer can be made via Branch, Division, State or directly to HQ.
  2. The Branch, Division, State or the HQ staff shall upon receiving the application for transfer, photostated I/Cs, photos and membership fees from the applicants, acknowledge by returning the reply slip attached at the bottom of the form to them.
  3. In the event that there is no news received after 3 months of application for transfer, enquiries could be made directly to the HQ.
  4. All applications for transfer must be made in the newly prescribed "Membership Transfer Form". Each and every column must be duly completed. Witnesses to the application shall be held fully responsible for whatever particulars given by him. He is also answerable to HQ for whatever queries that may arise.

    Formation Of New Branches

    Procedures for Formation of New Branches
    1. There must be 5 promoters to start a Branch - all concerned must be the members of the Division.
    2. A valid new Branch must have at least 50 new memberships, including 10 life members. It must ensure that 50% of the new members concerned are local residents or voters.
    3. Application could be made through the Division, State liaison Committee or directly to MCA HQ.
    4. Enquiries could be made directly to the HQ if there is no news received after 3 months of applications.
    5. All approved Branches must within 6 months, recruit at least 50 new members, including 10 life members as a minimum requirement. It must also ensure that 50% of the members recruited are local voters or residents to enable it to be duly registered with the Registrar of Societies. Otherwise, the Central Committee may delete the Branch concerned.
    6. All new Branches must comply with the provision that they must have 50% of their membership who are local residents or voters during their recruitment for new membership. This also applies to all existing Branches.

    Formation Of Young Member's Branch

    Procedures For Formation of Young Members' Branch
    1. There must be at least 5 promoters between the age of 18 - 35 to start a new MCA Young Members' Branch. The 5 promoters must be the members of the MCA.
    2. A new Young Members' Branch must have at least 50 new members between the age of 18 - 35, including 10 life members and at least 50% of the members concerned are local residents or voters in the constituency.
    3. Each Division can set up at least one Young Members' Branch.
    4. Application can be submitted via Division, State Liaison Committee or directly to the MCA HQ.
    5. All approved Branches must within 2 months, recruit at least 50 members including 10 life members and at least 50% of the members who are local residents or voters in the constituency in order to have it duly registered with the Registrar of Societies. Otherwise, it may be tabled to the Central Committee for a decision to delete the Branch concerned.
    6. The promoters can submit young member's branch form and new membership form together to the MCA HQ Membership Department
    7. All Branches should at anytime when recruiting new members ensure that 50% of their members are voters or residents in the respective constituencies.
    8. Enquiries could be made by the applicants to the MCA HQ after 3 months of submitting their applications.
