Merlimau folk urged to come out and vote

JASIN: MCA leaders made a last minute call to voters on Saturday evening reminding them to vote in the Merlimau by-election on Sunday.

During the dinner session with voters at Taman Merlimau Baru, MCA youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said he hoped all voters would come out and vote, and vote for the right party.

The event held from 7pm to 10pm was attended by a few hundred people from around the Merlimau constituency.

 At the buffet, the voters were entertained by singers.

Dr Wee, who is also deputy Education minister, said during his speech that the Federal Government had allocated more than RM10mil between 2009 and 2010 to various schools in Malacca for upgrading and new buildings.

Also present were party vice-president Gan Peng Sieu, state party chairman Datuk Gan Tian Loo and other party leaders.
