Perak to hold CNY do on Jan 28

IPOH: The Perak Chinese New Year celebration will be held at Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir‘s official residence on Jan 28.

Some 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the event which will feature lion and dragon dances, and acrobatic and drum performances.

State executive councillor Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon said other than the good food, visitors could also look forward to a wushu performance by 26th SEA Games gold medallist Lee Yang.

”We want to create a grand celebration to usher in the Year of the Dragon,” he said.

The event will begin at 11am and end at 3pm.
