The Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (INSAP) and Yayasan 1 Malaysia will jointly organise a public forum entitled “Religion and Unity in a Multi-ethnic Society” on Saturday, 17 March 2012 from 12:00 to 4:30 pm at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
The forum aims to explore the influences of religion in Malaysia’s quest for national unity, and the challenges in creating a sustainable and stable socio-political environment for the nation’s progress. The forum will also seek to understand the concerns of Malaysians who are looking forward to continuous peace and ethnic harmony, and how that can be achieved.
Speakers and panelists who will present their views at the forum include Dr Chandra Muzaffar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Yayasan 1Malaysia, and YB Gan Ping Sieu, Deputy Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The forum will be interactive-based to allow greater participation from the public.
Registration is essential and is free. The forum will be conducted in English.
