Stand by BN, MCA urges women
TAIPING: Women in Bukit Gantang should stick with Barisan Nasional as it has proven that it can work for the people in the past 52 years .
MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said it was wrong to say that it was time for change and vote for the Opposition.
“Do not switch. If something is good, it is better to maintain it,” she said yesterday, adding that women voters would play an important role in the constituency as 50% of the voters are women.
Speaking after presenting aid to the poor at Kampung Larut Tin Rukun Tetangga hall, Dr Ng said that women in Bukit Gantang generally were supportive of Barisan.
On another matter, Dr Ng said the ministry would not hesitate to withdraw the aid given to the poor if it is found that they had misused it.
